Maj. William "Bill" Price
Stationed at Raydon, Suffolk, England, Maj. Price flew 108 missions and became an ace, scoring a total of 7 victories. His score was comprised of one FW 190, one Me-210, one Me-410, one He-111, and three Bf-109s. As an original member of the 350th FS, 353rd FG, he successfully completed two tours of combat flying P-47 Thunderbolts and P-51s. Maj. Price named all of his aircraft after his sister, Janie. The aircraft's Crew Chief was Sgt. Patton. Maj. After completion of his second tour, Janie P-51 Mustang 44-14419 LH-F was renamed 'Marilyn' and was written off after it was belly landed in Belgium on Christmas Day, 1944.
